Hardware Architecture Phase II Complex |

Office Building:
This 2,000 square-foot office building included the following list of building materials:
reinforced concrete foundation walls, insulated concrete block walls, wooden roof joists,
metal roof panels, parking lot, and all accessible facility. |

Pomeroy Park Restroom Facility:
This building was funded through the Department of Agriculture. The building
materials consisted of: reinforced concrete foundation, concrete block walls, wooden roof
trusses, metal roofing, and handicapped accessible plumbing fixtures and access doors.
This project also included the design of a shelter building, restoration of a gazebo, and
a paved pathway. |
IBC
Greenhouse Building:
This WSU-owned building was equipped with the latest mechanical, electrical, and control
equipment. This project also included utilities for future buildings around this facility
and utilities connections to the steam tunnel. The foundation walls for this building
included steel inserts over the footings and along the wall to permit the construction of
the foundation and foundation walls while the building frame was being manufactured to
save on the completion period of this facility. |

Wheatland
Car Wash Building:
This Pullman facility is constructed of precast concrete walls & roof panels, with a
completely automated mechanical room, and floor heating system. |
Clay Water Booster Pump Station:
This building housed the pumps for the water system serving over80% of the
City of Colfax population. The building was built adjacent to the existing Clay Street
Well House, with provisions for housing a mobile electrical generator and the latest
control equipment, and chlorinated room and venting system. |

Wheatridge & Deer Park
Housing Complex:
These 2- & 3-bedroom apartment buildings in Pullman were constructed of reinforced
concrete foundation walls, wooden truss walls, pre-engineered wooden trusses, plywood
walls & roofing sheathing, brick veneer, light concrete flooring, and asphalt
shingles. This project also included a large parking lot and some landscaping. |
City of Pullman Bus Maintenance Building:
This rigid truss steel building was built with vehicle lifts, overhead oil
changing equipment, eight overhead garage doors, floor drain, lunch & office rooms,
storage mezzanine, and hoist. |

WSU's Islamic Students Center in Pullman:
This building was built with reinforced concrete foundation and basement
walls, wooden truss walls with brick veneer, wooden roof trusses, windows & doors with
steel awnings, and a complete separation of the genders, even in the prayer room. The
upper level of the facility is used as an Islamic Library & School room, while the
lower level is used for social activities and the caretakers apartment. |
Port of Garfield County Incubator Building:
This 22,000 square-foot building was renovated with complete plumbing,
electrical & HVAC systems, office section, shop, windows & doors, and a new
built-up roof. |

WSU Research Foundation Incubator
Building II:
This 22,000 square-foot Pullman facility, under construction, is designed
with precast concrete walls & roof panels, with built-up roof, reflective windows,
building common core center, tile flooring, complete HVAC system & lighting for
alternate floor division configuration to match future tenants, all utilities, and
concrete flooring with buried utilities for future laboratory facilities. |
WSU Research Foundation Incubator Building II Complex:
This building was funded through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the
U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) grants, and Bank loan to the Foundation.
The project site is situated within Washington State Research & Technology Park, in
Pullman. The project budget was approximately $2M for the 21,750 square-foot building and
site utilities and parking lots. The Project included the excavation of approximately
30,000 cubic yards of soil, extending the roads/streets through the WSU Research &
Technology Park, extending utilities; water sewer, storm drainage piping,
electrical/telephone/fiber optic/TV cables and natural gas systems. The building site
included 62 parking spaces, loading dock area, storm detention swales, and handicapped
accessible routes to the building. The building material consisted of insulated precast
concrete wall panels and roof panels, with built-up roofing material over insulation. The
heating/cooling system was a combination of natural gas & electrical systems.
The site data included: 4.2 acre site, 35,800 square-foot parking area, and 9,300 square
feet of walks/sidewalks. mda's responsibilities included the total design
and construction management, under the Foundation's President and Project Coordinator, Mr.
Larry Simonsmeier. The Design Team on this Project included the following consultants who
assisted our Firm in the design of this Project: Electrical Consultants, L&S
Engineering Associates, and Suden-Golden & Guest. The fee for this project was
approximately $145,000. |

AHA2 / Advanced Hardware Architecture Phase II Complex:
This 21,600 square-foot building was privately funded and built. The
project budget was approximately $1.8M for the building and site improvements The project
site is located within two lots at the Port of Whitman County Industrial Park in Pullman.
The design services included also the site improvements for approximately 100 parking
space, utilities extensions, and drainage detention collection system. |
